About the role

Job Summary
Serves as a liaison between Human Resources, Benefits, and Payroll on seasonal and annual variable and supplemental pay and pay adjustments for leave.

 

Essential Functions

 

1. Supervise all leave processing, approval, and return from leaves.

2. Tests SAP functions prior to Licensed Change Packets upgrades, new wage type development and query development.

3. Manages flow of informational data from schools to District Athletics Departments to facilitate payment of compensation.

4. Collect data, conduct salary surveys, and complete wage analysis.

5. Ensures application of eligibility rules for multiple assignment supplement payouts.

6. Serves as Project Manager for Sick Leave Pool Committee.

7. Conducts job classification reviews, audit positions and make recommendations, as needed to properly staff positions.

8. Recalculates and enters Military Instructional Pay and Police Incentive Pay.

9. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications


Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.


Experience: Two (2) years of professional classification, compensation and benefits experience. Demonstrated experience in classification reviews, salary surveys, and wage analysis.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


• Knowledge of Human Resources related laws, regulations, policies, and collective bargaining agreements relative to variable pay
• Strong knowledge of supplemental pay and bonus programs and requirements
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software skills
• Human Resource Information Systems skills (SAP preferred)
• Strong analytical skills
• Project management skills
• Process, workflow, and procedure design skills
• Time management skills
• Ability to meet deadlines for deliverables to internal and external customers
• Ability to communicate effectively with all employee groups.
