Role Description The Duty Officer is a full-time, on-site position based in Jabalpur, responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations at the cinema location. The role involves overseeing show schedules, coordinating with various departments, and monitoring auditorium readiness, including cleanliness, seating, and equipment checks. The Duty Officer supports front-of-house teams in managing guest flow, addressing customer queries, and resolving service issues in a timely and professional manner. They ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and cash-handling procedures, and prepare basic reports on daily performance and incidents. The role may also include supervising staff during shifts, facilitating communication between management and team members, and assisting with special events or promotional activities.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to handle guest queries and concerns calmly and professionally.
- Basic operations and administrative skills, including shift coordination, cash-handling oversight, and report preparation.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
- Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced, shift-based environment, including weekends, holidays, and late hours as required.
- Attention to detail and reliability in monitoring cinema facilities, safety standards, and compliance with company policies.
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality, entertainment, or cinema operations is preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum educational qualification: high school diploma or equivalent; a graduate degree in any discipline is an advantage.
- Comfortable using basic computer systems and point-of-sale or ticketing software; willingness to learn internal tools.
