Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Duty Manager role based at The Fern Hotels & Resorts in Godhra. The Duty Manager will oversee daily hotel operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth functioning of front office, housekeeping, and guest services. Responsibilities include supervising team members, handling guest check-ins and check-outs, resolving escalated guest concerns, and coordinating with other departments to maintain service standards. The role involves monitoring occupancy, managing room allocation, assisting with reservations, and ensuring compliance with brand, safety, and environmental policies. The Duty Manager will also support training of staff, maintain operational reports, and represent hotel management in the absence of senior leaders.
Qualifications
- Proven skills in hotel operations and front office management, including supervising daily shift activities and coordinating with multiple departments.
- Strong guest service and problem-solving abilities to handle guest requests, complaints, and escalations with professionalism and empathy.
- Experience in staff leadership, including team supervision, shift planning, on-the-job training, and performance follow-up.
- Ability to manage reservations, room allocation, billing, and basic revenue-related tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good understanding of hotel safety, security, hygiene, and environmental standards, with a commitment to sustainable practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English and local languages preferred.
- Diploma or degree in Hotel Management or a related field is preferred; comparable experience in a similar role will also be considered.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as per operational requirements, and a customer-centric approach at all times.
