Role Description The Duty Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at our upcoming cinema in Erode. This role is responsible for overseeing daily theatre operations, including managing show schedules, supervising front-of-house and concession staff, and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests. The Duty Manager monitors ticketing and customer flow, addresses queries and escalated concerns, and ensures consistent delivery of service standards. The role involves coordinating with technical teams for sound and projection readiness, handling cash and daily revenue reconciliation, and implementing operational procedures and policies. The Duty Manager also supports staff training, manages shift rosters, and provides regular reports to senior management on performance and customer feedback.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong operations and supervisory skills, including team leadership, shift management, and basic cash handling.
- Candidates should possess customer service and communication skills, including the ability to manage guest interactions, resolve issues, and maintain a professional, courteous demeanor.
- Candidates should possess organizational and administrative skills, such as record-keeping, reporting, and coordination of schedules and staffing.
- Candidates should possess problem-solving and decision-making abilities to handle on-the-spot operational challenges in a fast-paced cinema environment.
- Candidates should possess basic technical awareness related to theatre equipment, sound and projection systems, and facility maintenance coordination.
- Relevant experience in cinema, retail, hospitality, or entertainment operations is beneficial.
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in hospitality, management, business, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and proficiency in local language(s) and English will be advantageous.
