Role Description The Duty Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for overseeing day-to-day building operations and ensuring smooth functioning of all facility services. This position includes monitoring critical systems, coordinating with maintenance and security teams, and responding to operational issues or emergencies. The Duty Manager will manage shift schedules, oversee service delivery by vendors, maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and prepare routine reports on building performance and incidents. The role also involves regular communication with clients and internal stakeholders to address service requests, implement operational improvements, and support a safe, efficient working environment.
Qualifications
- Ability to oversee building operations, including monitoring technical systems, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring timely resolution of operational issues.
- Strong skills in stakeholder coordination, with the capacity to work closely with clients, vendors, security staff, and internal teams.
- Proficiency in incident management, documentation, and basic reporting, including maintaining logs and preparing daily or shift-based updates.
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices, regulatory compliance in facility operations, and emergency response procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions and manage teams across different shifts.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru on rotating shifts, including weekends or holidays as required by building operations.
- Relevant experience in facility management, building operations, or a similar supervisory role; experience in electrical/electronic or technical environments is an advantage.
- Diploma or degree in engineering, facility management, or a related field preferred, along with basic proficiency in standard office and reporting software.
