About the role

A vacancy for an Information Analyst has arisen within the busy Performance Team which provides management information and data analyses to Children's Services, specifically supporting the 'Virtual School' in its mission to improve outcomes for Children Looked After. The post holder will assist the team in providing data for Children's Services, utilising core business systems to provide high quality information and supporting the service to achieve its aims. This will include analysing and interpreting data related to Children Looked After, such as placement stability, educational attainment, and health outcomes, to inform service development and improvement. Office attendance is required at The Waterfront buildings in Brierley Hill and interviews will be conducted face to face with a standard test. Responsibilities will include: the provision and presentation of essential performance data and statistical analysis, including data related to Children Looked After improving access to and use of performance data and intelligence to support the Virtual School and other stakeholders developing the use of system reporting and data analysis technologies to enhance the understanding of outcomes for Children Looked After the exploitation and development of associated information systems to support the Virtual School's data needs assisting with the completion of statutory data returns, including those related to Children Looked After The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate: Knowledge of Microsoft Excel Experienced in Power BI The ability to write or edit SQL, use SQL Server Management Studio (SMSS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) The ability to work independently and manage your own workload Good communication with team members and stakeholders, including the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders, such as social workers and educators, to support their work with Children Looked After.
