DuckCreek Policy Devenloper
Role Summary and Key Requirements
This role is responsible for leading the end-to-end design and delivery of Duck Creek Policy solutions for Property & Casualty (P&C) products.
The Lead Developer/Technical Lead will oversee policy configuration, integrations, and technical delivery, while mentoring a small team and collaborating closely with business and architecture stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead hands-on development and configuration across Duck Creek Policy modules, including Author, Server, Express, Rating, Forms, Workflow, Batch, and TransACT.
• Design and implement policy transactions such as New Business (NB), Endorsements, Renewals, Cancellations, and Reinstatements, as well as validations, rating, and forms (Express 3).
• Build and maintain ManuScript, data/inheritance models, product configuration, and enforce versioning best practices.
• Design and deliver integrations utilizing Duck Creek Anywhere APIs, AMIs, Composed Requests, and external services.
• Own solution design, provide estimates, support sprint planning, conduct code reviews, and manage technical risks.
• Mentor team members, partner with QA, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and provide L2/L3 production support. Required Skills & Experience
• Strong hands-on expertise with Pages, Rules, Rating, Forms, TransACT, and platform tools.
• Solid P&C domain knowledge, including underwriting, rating, and policy lifecycle.
• Proficiency in technical skills such as C#/.NET, SQL Server, XML, XPath, and XSLT.
• Excellent client-facing communication and proven team leadership abilities. Nice to Have
• Experience with Duck Creek OnDemand or Active Delivery.
• Exposure to commercial and personal lines (both ISO and non-ISO).
• Duck Creek certification, Billing/Claims exposure, and familiarity with Cloud & DevOps.
