Job description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and format page layouts for books, magazines, and other publications using DTP software (CorelDRAW, InDesign, PageMaker, MS Word, etc.)
- Ensure accuracy in text alignment, fonts, spacing, and margins as per publication standards.
- Insert images, tables, charts, and illustrations into the layout as needed.
- Work closely with editors, graphic designers, and production teams to meet project timelines.
- Prepare final print-ready files (PDFs) and ensure high-quality output.
- Handle corrections and revisions as per editorial feedback.
- Manage backups and maintain version control of files.
- Adhere to copyright laws and ensure proper usage of content and images.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a DTP Operator, preferably in a publishing or printing company.
- Proficiency in DTP and graphic design software like Adobe InDesign, CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, MS Office.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of printing processes, file formats, and layout principles.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and multitask.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
Educational Qualification:
- Graduate or Diploma in DTP, Graphic Design, or related field.
