*High school diploma or GED
*State of Ohio Stationary Engineers 3rd Class License
*Knowledge of and experience in the operation and maintenance of Gas Turbines, HRSG’s, Water Treatment, RO, Air Compressors, Air Dryers, Cooling Towers, MM filters and Diesel Generation preferred
*Knowledge of power plant mechanical and electrical equipment, including motors, pumps, boilers, fluid systems, chemical handling, water treatment systems, pollution control equipment, AC and DC electrical distribution and control systems and associated maintenance functions preferred
*Three (3) years of power plant experience in operations and maintenance preferred
*Knowledge of power plant safety, policies, and procedures, especially in areas such as chemical handling, high energy systems, confined spaces, incipient fire suppression, first aid, rotating machinery, and heavy equipment preferred
*Basic knowledge of and some experience in at least four (4) of the following skills: pipefitting, welding, machining, rigging, rotating machine repair, fabrication, machine alignment, basic vibration analysis, and using electrical test equipment preferred
*Knowledge of chemistry and power plant chemical applications. Ability to operate valves, switches, controls, keyboards, and other devices associated with power plants preferred
*Ability to use basic hand tools, portable electric and pneumatic tools, and basic rigging equipment such as winches, hoists, and slings preferred
*Ability to read and write effectively in English and to do basic mathematics
*Knowledge of and experience in Standard Operating Procedures, Pre-Job Briefs, Job Hazard Analysis, Risk Assessments and LOTO
*Ability to complete site specific written qualification program
*Knowledge of and ability to understand fundamental principles related to physics, mathematics, AC & DC electrical theory, heat transfer and fluid flow, thermal dynamics, and chemistry
*Ability to locate, troubleshoot, and adjust defects in mechanical equipment and/or maintain, install, modify, and troubleshoot plant electrical systems and equipment preferred
*Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
*Ability to operate and maintain various analytical and test equipment
*Willingness to work rotating shift schedules, overtime, and respond to off hour call ins
