The DSSSB Junior Judicial Assistant will be posted in the various District Courts and Family Courts of Delhi. Typically, as a Junior Judicial Assistant, assisting the judiciary in carrying out their functions smoothly is the main role. JJAs work under the guidance of judges and help manage the daily operations of the court. Some of their primary duties include receiving and processing newly filed cases. This involves verifying documents, assigning case numbers, and ensuring papers are correctly registered. JJAs are responsible for maintaining physical and computerized court case records. This encompasses activities like updating files as proceedings progress, compiling evidence, orders and judgments. They also retrieve records when required and submit them to judges on time. Assisting the public with case-related queries is another important task. JJAs help people search for cases, provide copies of documents, and clarify common queries. In addition, they work closely with other court departments. Coordination with sections like administration, accounts and security is necessary to facilitate daily operations. JJAs also prepare case lists, draft notices and undertake basic paperwork related to listing, adjournments etc. Attending to judges during hearings by providing case documents, recording instructions and carrying out basic administrative functions are part of the role as well.
