We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Semiconductor Equipment Engineer with deep expertise in Dry Etch tools, with a strong focus on advanced troubleshooting and tool recovery in a high-volume fab environment. The candidate should have hands-on experience in one or more of the following toolsets: Axcelis Fusion, LAM 2300 KIYO, Tel Unity SCCM ME, SPTS Rapier, AMAT Centura DPS, AMAT Centura MXP+, LAM 4400/4500/9600. The candidate must be capable of working independently, taking full ownership of tool issues and driving fast and effective resolution of complex equipment problems.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Perform basic tool fault recovery to minimize equipment downtime.
- Execute preventive maintenance as per procedures, ensuring on-time completion and first-time pass.
- Support troubleshooting of routine equipment issues and escalate complex problems when required.
- Monitor tool performance and respond to alarms and abnormal conditions.
- Support actions to identify and resolve repeat tool issues, improving MTBF.
- Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities, faults, and actions taken.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain discipline in execution.
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and cleanroom protocols.
Mandatory Skills:
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in semiconductor Dry Etch equipment in high-volume fabs. Hands-on experience in tools like Axcelis Fusion, LAM 2300 KIYO, Tel Unity SCCM ME, SPTS Rapier, AMAT Centura DPS, AMAT Centura MXP+, LAM 4400/4500/9600.
- Strong expertise in equipment troubleshooting and fast recovery in production environment. Responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment.
- Good understanding of SPC/FDC systems, alarms, and process limits.
- Troubleshoot issues related to plasma, RF, vacuum, gas delivery, and hardware subsystems.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Maximize tool uptime, MTBF, and reduce MTTR.
- Good knowledge of mainframe and subsystems like pumps, RF generators, matching network, ESC, MFCs, etc.
- Willingness to work in rotating shifts.
