Principal Software Engineer - Developer Productivity

As a Principal Software Engineer on our Developer Productivity team, you'll be responsible for designing and building critical systems that power our engineering infrastructure, enabling over 3,000 Dropbox engineers to be as productive as possible. You'll work across the full stack, from low-level systems to high-level services, and collaborate closely with other infrastructure, backend, and platform teams. Some key areas you might work on include: - Developer tools and workflows (e.g. build, test, deploy, debugging) - Internal developer platforms (e.g. developer consoles, workflow automation, ML/AI-powered productivity features) - Engineering efficiency and productivity metrics - Scaling our infrastructure to support a growing organization You'll bring strong technical leadership, a keen sense of developer empathy, and a drive to build reliable, high-impact systems that make a real difference for our engineers.
