Role Description The Drone Operator – Surveillance Operations role is a full-time, on-site position based in Rajasthan, India. The role involves operating surveillance drones to monitor designated areas, conduct routine and special reconnaissance missions, and capture high-quality visual data in line with operational guidelines. The Drone Operator will follow pre-defined flight plans, ensure safe drone deployment and recovery, and maintain real-time communication with the operations control room and field teams. Responsibilities include basic drone maintenance checks, troubleshooting minor technical issues, and verifying that all equipment is mission-ready. The role also requires accurate documentation of flight logs, preparation of surveillance reports, adherence to safety protocols and local regulations, and coordination with security staff to support incident response and risk assessment.
Qualifications
- Strong technical aptitude for operating drones, including familiarity with UAV controls, sensors, and navigation systems.
- Ability to interpret visual data from camera feeds and surveillance footage, with attention to detail and situational awareness.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures, aviation guidelines, and local regulatory requirements related to drone operations.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with operations teams, report observations clearly, and follow structured instructions.
- Capability to work in field environments, including readiness for extended shifts and varying weather and terrain conditions.
- Organizational skills for maintaining flight logs, equipment records, and surveillance documentation with accuracy.
- Prior experience in security, defense, law enforcement, or surveillance operations is an advantage.
- Relevant technical certification or training in drone operations or UAV technology is preferred; a diploma or degree in a technical or security-related field is beneficial.
- Demonstrated integrity, discipline, and reliability, with a commitment to confidentiality and responsible handling of sensitive data.
