Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Driver role based in Port Blair. The Driver will transport guests safely and comfortably between airports, hotels, ferry terminals, and tourist attractions, following planned itineraries and schedules. Responsibilities include conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintaining cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle, and adhering to all local traffic and safety regulations. The Driver will assist guests with luggage, provide basic information about local attractions and routes, and coordinate with the operations team to adjust to changing schedules or guest needs. The role also involves completing trip logs or basic paperwork as required and reporting any incidents, delays, or maintenance needs promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven commercial driving skills, including experience with Truck Driving and safe operation of a Truck or similar vehicle.
- Valid CDL Class A or equivalent commercial driving license, with a clean driving record and strong knowledge of traffic rules and safety practices.
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact professionally with guests, answer basic queries, and support a positive travel experience.
- Familiarity with Port Blair and nearby routes, including key tourist destinations and airports, or willingness to quickly learn local routes.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on guest schedules.
- Physical ability to assist with luggage and stand or sit for extended periods as required by the role.
- Punctual, reliable, and safety-focused mindset with attention to detail and adherence to company policies.
- Previous experience in tourism, hospitality, or passenger transport is an advantage; basic English or multilingual skills are beneficial.
