About the role

Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens for filling up the post of Deputy Director (Scientist 'E') (Aeronautical Systems Laboratory) in the pay scale of Level-13 (Rs. 123100-215900) on direct recruitment basis at DRDO, Ministry of Defence, Government of India. Eligibility Criteria: Essential Qualification: (i) Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Aerospace Engineering/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University/Institute. (ii) At least 10 years of experience in Research and Development (R&D) in the field of Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering. Job Responsibilities: The selected candidate will be responsible for overall management of the Aeronautical Systems Laboratory and will be expected to provide technical leadership and guidance to the scientific/technical team in the areas of Aerodynamics, Flight Mechanics, Structures, Propulsion, Avionics, and System Integration of Aircraft/Aerial Vehicles. He/She will also be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring various R&D projects. Required Skills: The candidate should have expertise in the following areas: (i) Computational Fluid Dynamics, (ii) Flight Mechanics, (iii) Structural Dynamics, (iv) Avionics and Control Systems, (v) Propulsion Systems, and (vi) System Integration of Aerial Vehicles.
