Position: Cashier

POSITION SUMMARY: The Cashier is responsible for providing superior guest service. Responsible for the proper and efficient operation of his or her cash drawer. Receipt of multiple forms of payment from guest and or team members. Must follow Company policies, in such a manner as to ensure that the shift contributes to the increased profitability of the venue. Participates special events, banquet service functions at Drai’s.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE CASHIER INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Arrive to work on time, ready to perform duties
- Be 100% Customer Oriented: exhibit excellent service techniques at all time
- Provide accurate facts and information to guests
- Prepare daily shift needs i.e. Drink Tickets, Scanners, Retail areas and maintain, store correctly at the end of each shift
- Awareness and implementation of daily tariffs
- Keep cashier booth maintained including office supplies
- Responsible for all entrance fees and service charges
- Open and close registers, performing task such as counting money, separating change, balancing drawers, and making deposits.
- Maintain Knowledge of current stock and promotions.
- Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts, and know how to prevent or handle these situations.
- Adhere to all Drai’s Standard Operating Procedures
- Maintain all Drai’s Sequence of Service Standards to achieve 100% Compliance and Audit needs
- Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandize.
- Clean shelves, counters, and tables.
- Inventory stock
- Exhibit a sense of urgency for business
- Communicate effectively
- Juggle multi-tasks, multiple projects
- Ensures timely entrance for all guests
- Greet customers and ascertain wants and needs.
- Assists and/or completes additional tasks as assigned

- Ability to work safely and prevent personal injury
- Commitment to the safety of fellow co-workers and our guests, and the ability to demonstrate that commitment through daily actions
- Inform Supervisor of any irregularities, guest complaints or other disputes, which cannot be readily resolved

EDUCATION / REQUIREMENTS:
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- 21+ years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience of a customer service, retail, cashier environment preferred
- Possession of/or ability to possess a valid Food Servers Card and Alcohol Awareness Card

- Must be able to move quickly through work and set the pace in the office and/or venue

- Must be able to stoop, bend, jump, twist, crouch, grip, carry heavy loads and maneuver quickly on level surfaces, as well as, up and down stairs
- Be observant and quick to respond to various situations
- Must be able to read the computer monitors
- Must be dexterous and able to participate in all service aspects
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 150 lbs.
- Must be able to use elevators effectively and efficiently as part of daily work routine
