Role Description
The Draftsman will work under the Project Head and be responsible for preparing accurate 2D & 3D drawings for civil and architectural projects. The role involves converting conceptual sketches and engineering inputs into detailed working drawings, shop drawings, and construction documentation. The candidate will also participate in site surveys, measurements, coordination with consultants and site teams, and ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, standards, and quality control procedures.
The ideal candidate should possess strong technical drafting skills, practical site understanding, and proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, STAAD, or similar tools. Attention to detail, coordination skills, and the ability to independently manage drawing development are essential for this role.
Key Responsibility </p>
1. Produce 2D & 3D drawings for civil and architectural projects
2. Develop plans, sections, and detailed working drawings from engineers’ sketches
3. Perform self-checks and maintain QC processes for all drawings
4. Conduct site surveys, measurements, levelling, and alignment works
5. Prepare civil drawings based on survey data
6. Coordinate with site engineers, architects, consultants, and project management teams
7. Prepare scheme drawings, detailed design drawings, and calculations
8. Develop shop drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards
9.Participate in design optimization and value engineering wherever applicable
Software Skills Required:
• AutoCAD
• SketchUp
• 3ds Max
• STAAD or other relevant design tools
• MS Excel & MS Word
Qualifications:
• Diploma in Civil Engineering/ BE Civil Engineering
• Minimum 4–8 years of experience in 2D CAD & 3D drawing development
Desired Skills:
• Ability to read BOQs, specifications, and construction drawings
• Strong coordination and communication skills
• Attention to detail and technical accuracy
