Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Draftsman role based in Ghaziabad. The Draftsman will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for boiler and industrial heating system designs using CAD software-Solid Edge and Auto Cad. Responsibilities include interpreting design specifications, collaborating with engineers to refine drafts, maintaining accurate drawing records, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
JOB PROFILE:
- Proficiency in CAD software for drafting and detailing boiler components and assemblies.
- Capable of interpreting and creating drawings according to design specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with design engineers to develop detailed drawings for boiler components including pressure parts, non-pressure parts, ducting, structures, etc.
- Prepare fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and bills of materials (BOM) for manufacturing.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project requirements in all drafted documents.
- Coordinate with engineering and fabrication teams to address any design or manufacturing issues.
- Assist in creating and maintaining drafting standards and templates to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Capable of making revisions and updates to drawings as required during the design and manufacturing process.
- Knowledge of 3D modeling tools is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with boiler design standards and codes is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with attention to detail and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD software and technical drawing tools
- Understanding of boiler systems, industrial heaters, and general mechanical engineering concepts
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents
- Attention to detail and accuracy in creating and reviewing drafts
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with engineering teams
- Prior experience in the boiler or industrial heating industry preferred
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field is an advantage
