Role Description The Draftsman role is a full-time, on-site position based in Hyderabad. The Draftsman will prepare detailed technical drawings and layout plans for interior projects, translating design concepts and measurements into accurate CAD drawings. Responsibilities include coordinating with designers, engineers, and project teams to finalize drawings, revising plans based on feedback, and ensuring that all drawings align with manufacturing and installation requirements. The role also involves maintaining organized drawing records, adhering to company standards and building codes, and supporting the production team with clear, precise documentation for factory-made interiors.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in CAD drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD) and ability to produce detailed 2D/3D drawings and layouts.
- Knowledge of interior design drawings, joinery details, and basic architectural principles relevant to residential and commercial projects.
- Attention to detail in measurements, specifications, and technical documentation, with strong visualization and spatial understanding.
- Ability to collaborate with designers, engineers, and production teams, and to incorporate feedback efficiently into revised drawings.
- Basic understanding of building materials, manufacturing processes, and installation practices for factory-made interiors.
- Good communication skills, ability to manage multiple projects, and strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Diploma or degree in Drafting, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related technical field.
- Prior experience in interior drafting or construction-related drafting is preferred; familiarity with industry standards and local building regulations is an advantage.
