Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Drafter role based in Surat. The Drafter will support architects and designers by preparing accurate technical drawings, plans, and details for architectural, interior, landscape, and industrial projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include converting conceptual designs and sketches into detailed CAD drawings, updating plans based on design revisions and coordination feedback, and ensuring that drawings comply with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications. The role involves collaborating with project architects, engineers, and design teams, maintaining organized drawing sets and documentation, and assisting in preparing drawing packages for client presentations, permissions, and construction. The Drafter will also help integrate sustainability and performance requirements into drawings where applicable and support quality checks to ensure clarity and buildability of construction documents.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in computer-aided drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar BIM software) and the ability to produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings.
- Understanding of architectural, interior, and landscape design principles, including building layouts, sections, elevations, and basic structural coordination.
- Ability to read and interpret design briefs, sketches, and engineering inputs, and translate them into clear technical documentation.
- Knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction practices relevant to commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
- Good organizational skills for managing drawing sets, version control, and documentation across multiple ongoing projects.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with architects, designers, engineers, and site teams.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in dimensioning and notation, and a commitment to high-quality, buildable drawings.
