Role Summary
The Design QC Executive will be responsible for reviewing and validating interior design drawings, BOQs, technical details, and project documentation before execution. The role ensures error-free designs, adherence to company standards, seamless coordination between design and execution teams, and high-quality customer delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and validate interior design drawings, layouts, BOQs, and technical documents before execution.
- Check accuracy of modular designs including kitchens, wardrobes, storage units, false ceiling, electrical, and plumbing layouts.
- Ensure designs comply with company standards, site measurements, and execution feasibility.
- Identify design errors, technical mismatches, and coordination issues before project handover.
- Coordinate with Interior Designers, Project Managers, Vendors, and Execution teams for design corrections.
- Verify material specifications, dimensions, finishes, and client-approved designs.
- Ensure all design deliverables are aligned with timelines and quality benchmarks.
- Maintain QC checklists and documentation for every project.
- Support teams with technical guidance and process improvements.
- Reduce execution-stage errors and improve customer satisfaction through strong design validation.
Required Skills & Expertise
- Strong knowledge of residential interior design and modular furniture systems.
- Expertise in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and BOQ preparation.
- Understanding of execution drawings, detailing, and site coordination.
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, false ceiling, and carpentry drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture.
- 2–5 years of experience in Interior Design, Design Validation, or QC roles.
- Experience in turnkey residential interior projects is preferred.
- Experience with modular interiors and execution coordination will be an added advantage.
