    We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Catering Sales & Service Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of meetings, conferences, weddings, and social events within our hotel. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives on building relationships, driving revenue, and delivering exceptional service from contract to event completion.


    Position Summary

    The Catering Sales & Service Manager is responsible for coordinating and supervising assigned group and catering business after the contract is secured through successful event execution. This individual ensures profitable operations while maintaining the highest quality standards and service levels.

    This role serves as the primary liaison between clients and hotel departments to ensure flawless meetings and events, while actively soliciting new business, upselling services, and generating repeat clientele.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Act as the main point of contact for clients from turnover through event completion

    • Contact clients within 24 hours of file turnover and maintain consistent follow-up communication

    • Generate and distribute detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) weekly to all departments

    • Collaborate closely with banquet, culinary, guest services, housekeeping, AV, engineering, and accounting teams to ensure seamless event execution

    • Maintain full knowledge of:

      • Meeting room setups and event space capabilities

      • Sleeping room configurations and guest room types

      • Hotel services and operational departments

    • Review and manage rooming lists, VIP lists, and event specifications

    • Manage the event calendar to optimize space utilization and maximize revenue

    • Maintain pricing integrity and proactively upsell menus and services

    • Be present and visible during events to assist staff and ensure client satisfaction

    • Solicit new accounts and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to generate repeat business

    • Plan and execute holiday and special events in partnership with the Director of Sales & Marketing

    • Participate in Manager on Duty (M.O.D.) coverage as scheduled

    • Utilize client feedback to enhance service quality and operational excellence


    Qualifications

    Education & Experience

    • Minimum of 2 years of progressive hotel or related hospitality experience
      OR

    • 4-year college degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field
      OR

    • College degree with at least 1 year of related experience

    • Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and hotel sales systems

    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed


    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to work flexible and extended hours based on event schedules

    • Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently
