Position: Project Manager
Location: Chennai - Onsite/Hybrid
Engagement Type: Full Time
Shift Timing: 8.00AM to 5.00PM PST (US Pacific Time)
About the role: Our client is a high-growth
technology company managing a large portfolio of internal development projects
across finance systems, automation, and data infrastructure. We are looking for
a detail-oriented, proactive Project Manager to join the Account Operations
team on a consulting basis. This role is built around keeping
projects moving. You will be the connective tissue across teams — driving Jira
hygiene, facilitating alignment meetings with project leads, chasing missing information, and ensuring every project is accurately described,
prioritized, and delivered on time. You will also be responsible for
formulating ROI analysis and producing clear, structured reporting — including
a quarterly weather report delivered to the entire organization.
Responsibilities:
Jira Project Management & Follow-Ups
Own and maintain the full
Jira project portfolio — ensuring every project is up to date, accurately
described, and progressing toward completion
Conduct regular follow-ups
with project owners and stakeholders to unblock issues, resolve gaps, and keep
delivery on track
Monitor project status
across the board and flag at-risk items before they impact quarterly targets.
Ensure all projects are
properly weighted and prioritized within Jira to reflect business value and
urgency
Stakeholder Facilitation & Alignment
Facilitate recurring
meetings with project leads to surface priorities, resolve ambiguity, and drive
clear ownership across teams
Act as a clarity layer
between teams — ensuring every project is well-understood, well-described, and
consistently communicated
Follow up on missing
project information, requirements, or approvals needed to keep work moving
forward
Help teams align on scope
and priority so that delivery efforts are focused on maximum quarterly return
ROI Analysis & Reporting
Analyze and formulate ROI
for ongoing and pipeline projects — translating technical work into measurable
business impact
Build and maintain
structured reporting cadences tailored to different audiences — from team-level
updates to executive summaries
Produce a comprehensive
Quarterly Weather Report for the entire organization summarizing project
health, delivery outcomes, and key wins
Maintain clear
documentation across Confluence and Notion to ensure institutional knowledge is
captured and accessible
Ad-Hoc & Individual Project Support
Take ownership of
individual project requests as they arise — including Proof of Concept (POC)
evaluations, Access Management requests, and other operational tasks assigned
by leadership
Handle ad-hoc project work
with the same rigor and follow-through as core portfolio responsibilities
Coordinate with relevant
teams to scope, track, and close out individual requests efficiently
Identify gaps in current
project processes and proactively bring forward ideas to improve efficiency and
delivery speed
Champion best practices
across project documentation, status tracking, and cross-team communication
Support portfolio expansion
by helping onboard new projects into existing frameworks and reporting
structures
Required Qualifications:
5 - 10 years of project
management or PMO experience in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment
Hands-on, day-to-day
proficiency with Jira — managing project boards, tracking statuses, and driving
portfolio hygiene
Strong follow-up discipline
— you don't let things fall through the cracks and are comfortable holding
stakeholders accountable
Experience facilitating
alignment meetings with project leads, surfacing priorities, and translating
outcomes into clear action items
Ability to understand
technical and business projects deeply enough to formulate ROI and articulate
value to leadership
Advanced Excel / Google
Sheets skills for reporting, tracking, and data analysis
Strong written
communication skills — able to produce crisp, well-structured reports for both
team-level and org-wide audiences
Experience maintaining
documentation in Confluence and/or Notion
Education & Certifications
Bachelor's degree
(Graduation) in Business, Technology, Engineering, or a related field — minimum
requirement
PMP (Project Management
Professional) certification is preferred
Six Sigma certification
(Green Belt or above) is preferred
Experience producing
org-wide reporting or quarterly business reviews (QBRs)
Familiarity with internal
finance or ops systems — NetSuite, Snowflake, GL/JE workflows
Experience with automation
tools such as Zapier, Make, or Google App Script
Understanding of ROI
frameworks and how to connect project work to business outcomes
PMP, Agile, or Scrum
certification is a plus
Prior experience in a
consulting, PMO, or embedded operations role
