About the role

As an AI Governance and Ethics Specialist, you will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining best practices for the ethical development and deployment of AI systems within our organization and our client base. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders, to ensure that AI is used in a manner that is transparent, accountable, and aligned with societal values. Responsibilities Develop and implement AI governance frameworks that address key ethical considerations such as fairness, privacy, security, and accountability. Establish guidelines and best practices for the responsible development and deployment of AI systems, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Conduct risk assessments and impact analyses to identify potential ethical and societal implications of AI applications. Provide guidance and training to teams on AI ethics and governance principles, fostering a culture of responsible innovation. Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as industry groups and regulatory bodies, to stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in AI governance. Monitor the performance and impact of deployed AI systems, making recommendations for improvement or mitigation of ethical risks. Develop and maintain a robust process for addressing ethical concerns and grievances related to AI applications. Contribute to the development of industry standards and guidelines for AI ethics and governance. Skills and Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Ethics, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in roles related to AI ethics, governance, or responsible innovation. Strong understanding of AI technologies, machine learning algorithms, and their potential societal impacts. Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to data privacy, security, and ethical AI practices. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex ethical dilemmas. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies is preferred.
