🌟 Role Overview
The Donor Relations Executive (Tele-Fundraising) will primarily engage with prospective and existing donors via telephone and digital channels to cultivate strong donor relationships, raise funds for foundation programs, and support overall fundraising goals. This role requires excellent communication skills, empathy, persistence, and a passion for social impact.
🧠 Key Responsibilities
📞 Tele-Fundraising & Donor Outreach
- Conduct outbound calls to prospective donors to share the foundation’s mission, ongoing initiatives, and funding needs.
- Follow structured call scripts while personalizing conversations based on donor interests and feedback.
- Reach fundraising targets by converting call engagements into committed donations (one-time and recurring).
- Maintain high levels of professionalism, enthusiasm, and donor-centric communication in every call.
🧩 Donor Relationship Management
- Build and nurture relationships with donors through timely follow-ups and personalized engagement.
- Flag and communicate donor preferences, interests, and feedback to the wider team.
- Ensure donors receive appropriate acknowledgment, gratitude, and updates related to their contribution.
📊 Data Management & Reporting
- Accurately record all donor interactions, conversations, and call outcomes in the CRM or database.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as calls made, commitments secured, donation amounts, and conversion rates.
- Provide weekly/monthly reports to the Fundraising Manager with insights and recommendations.
🤝 Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the fundraising, communications, and operations teams to support donor campaigns, events, and updates.
- Support the creation and refinement of call scripts, fundraising pitches, and donor engagement content.
📣 Learning & Growth
- Stay updated on the foundation’s programs, impact stories, and fundraising goals.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance tele-fundraising techniques and donor communication skills.
🎯 Skills & Qualifications
Essential
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience in tele-fundraising, tele-sales, customer outreach, or donor support (1-2 years preferred).
- Strong persuasion skills with a professional, empathetic approach.
- Ability to work independently, meet targets, and manage time effectively.
- Tech-savvy with familiarity in CRM systems, Excel/Google Sheets, and virtual calling platforms.
Desirable
- Experience working in nonprofit fundraising or donor support.
- Knowledge of Indian giving culture and philanthropic trends.
- Fluency in Hindi and English; additional language skills are a plus.
