Domain Lead – Insurance (Property & Casualty)
Experience: 10+ Years (Industry Practitioner Preferred)
Level: Domain Lead
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Domain Lead with deep roots in the Property & Casualty insurance industry to lead business transformation, and drive strategic senior stakeholder level engagements. The ideal candidate is a former insurer or P&C practitioner who can bridge deep domain knowledge with the AI-led modernisation to unlock new value for clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the P&L and growth strategy for the Insurance (P&C) vertical, with clear accountability for revenue targets and margin performance.
- Develop and prioritise high-impact business use cases across underwriting, claims management, policy administration, and risk operations.
- Serve as the primary CXO and Senior stakeholders interface for clients and internal stakeholders.
- Define cross-pod strategic initiatives and drive coordinated execution across business and technology teams.
- Provide domain leadership in technology adoption, including AI-driven claims automation, fraud detection, and predictive underwriting.
- Lead client conversations from opportunity origination through solution shaping, negotiation, and deal conversion.
- Collaborate with delivery and product teams to architect scalable, insurance-native digital and AI solutions.
- Drive industry thought leadership through point-of-view content, events, and market positioning activities.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years of experience in Property & Casualty Insurance, with substantive roles in:
- Hands-on P&C domain experience across one or more of:
- Underwriting (personal lines, commercial lines, or specialty)
- Claims management and operations
- Policy administration and servicing
- Strong working knowledge of:
- The end-to-end P&C value chain
- Regulatory and compliance frameworks (local and global)
- Core insurance platforms and ecosystem vendors
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Background as a practicing insurer, underwriter, or claims professional — not just advisory experience.
- Knowledge of AI applications in insurance: claims automation, fraud analytics, telematics-based underwriting, and loss modelling.
- Proven commercial skills including deal structuring, and client negotiation.
- Excellent executive engagement, communication, and influencing abilities.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Essential (Required): Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, or Law.
Highly Preferred: MBA or postgraduate qualification with a focus on Risk, Insurance, or Financial Services from a recognised institution.
Additional Note: Professional designations (CPCU, ACII, AINS) carry significant weight in lieu of or alongside academic qualifications for senior P&C roles.
