Finance & Data Systems Analyst

Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Data QA Engineer with a strong background in data testing and quality assurance to design and implement comprehensive data testing strategies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure data platforms and a proven track record in validating data migrations from on-premises to cloud environments. This role requires collaboration with data engineers and cloud teams in an agile setup to ensure data integrity and quality throughout the data lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end data testing strategies and test completion plans.
- Establish data QA capabilities, including standards, benchmarks, and KPIs.
- Validate on-prem to Azure migration through source-to-target reconciliation.
- Automate data test cases using Fabric / Spark notebooks.
- Develop reusable frameworks for:
- Data quality checks
- Reconciliation & control totals
- Regression testing
- Write advanced SQL for data validation and anomaly detection.
- Evaluate and recommend Azure-native or third-party tools for:
- Data testing
- Automation
- Monitoring & quality checks.
- Produce QA reports and support release/post-deployment validation.
- Collaborate closely with data engineers and cloud teams in an agile environment.
Mandatory Skills
- 6+ years of experience in data testing / data QA.
- Strong hands-on SQL skills for large datasets.
- Experience testing data warehouses / lakehouses.
- Hands-on experience with Azure data platforms, preferably Azure Cloud.
- Experience with on-prem to cloud data migration testing.
- Strong understanding of test strategy & planning, test case design, Automation testing & regression testing.
- Experience automating test cases using notebooks.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with AI solutions as accelerators (not mandatory).
- Knowledge of data monitoring and quality check tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
