Documentation Specialist – Metals Import & Export

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Documentation Specialist to manage international import and export documentation related to metal trading. The ideal candidate should have experience handling shipping documents, coordinating with freight forwarders, suppliers, buyers, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
The candidate will play a critical role in ensuring smooth execution of shipments while maintaining documentation accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and verify export and import documentation.
- Create Commercial Invoices.
- Prepare Packing Lists.
- Draft Proforma Invoices.
- Prepare Certificates of Origin.
- Review Bills of Lading.
- Verify Air Way Bills.
- Coordinate shipment documentation with freight forwarders.
- Communicate with suppliers and overseas buyers.
- Maintain shipment records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations.
- Coordinate with logistics companies and shipping lines.
- Track shipment status and documentation progress.
- Resolve documentation discrepancies.
- Maintain digital filing systems.
- Coordinate with banks for LC documentation where applicable.
- Support international trade operations.
- Prepare reports related to shipments and documentation.
- Ensure timely submission of documents to customers and customs authorities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Logistics, International Business, or related field.
- Experience or certification in Import-Export Management is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills & Problem Solving Mindset
Experience Required:
- 2–5 years in Import & Export Documentation.
- Experience in Metal Trading, Commodities, or International Trading preferred.
- Freshers with excellent knowledge may also apply.
