ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project focusses on empowering out-of-school adolescent girls (13–16 years) by expanding their access to inclusive, quality education and strengthening the supportive environment needed to prevent child marriage.
The Udaan project enables 1,800 girls to complete upper primary, Secondary and Senior-Secondary education through open schooling along with enhancing their confidence, resilience, and overall well-being through soft skills and mental health support.
KEY FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly project reports in the prescribed MERL format.
- Capture and document case studies, success stories, and anecdotes of adolescent girls and other stakeholders on a monthly basis.
- Conduct regular field visits to collect data, stories, photos, and evidence of field-level progress and emerging outcomes.
- Ensure the Management Information System (MIS) is updated every month with verified and accurate data from the field.
- Follow up with field teams and implementing partners for timely submission of activity updates, reports, and data inputs.
- Compile and maintain a repository of reports, photographs, testimonials, and best practices for communication and reporting purposes.
- Support the preparation of quarterly, annual, and donor-specific reports, ensuring alignment with programme indicators and MERL requirements.
- Develop and maintain data summaries, dashboards, and infographics from MIS to support programme review and decision-making.
- Contribute to knowledge management by preparing learning notes, IEC materials, and documentation for internal and external sharing.
- Prepare power point presentation as and when required
- Ensure all project documentation is systematic, accurate, well-organized, and accessible for learning and audit purposes.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Mass Communication, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in documentation, reporting, or MIS/data management in development projects (preferably in education, gender, or adolescent programmes)
- Proficient in CORAL presentation skills.
- Strong writing, editing, and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize information.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and basic data visualization tools.
- Understanding of MERL/M&E frameworks and data management systems.
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently to field locations.
