We’re looking for skilled Document Remediation Engineers / PDF Remediation Specialists to join us!
Key Responsibilities:
• Remediate PDF, Microsoft Word, and Excel documents to meet accessibility standards
• Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1/2.2, Section 508, and PDF/UA guidelines
• Fix tags, reading order, headings, lists, tables, and alt text
• Resolve color contrast, form field, and structural issues
• Use tools like Adobe Acrobat Pro, CommonLook, and MS Office accessibility checker
• Validate documents using screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver)
• Collaborate with QA teams to deliver high-quality accessible outputs
• Maintain documentation and follow remediation workflows
Required Skills:
• Experience in PDF remediation and accessibility testing
• Strong knowledge of WCAG, Section 508, and PDF/UA
• Hands-on experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro, Word, and Excel accessibility features
• Ability to correct tag structure, tables, and reading order
• Familiarity with screen readers
• Strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certification/training in Digital Accessibility or Section 508
• Experience with Common Look or similar tools
• Background in educational, publishing, or government documents
