Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Engineer - QS & Tendering, based in Chennai. The role involves preparing tender documents, evaluating bids, analyzing project costs, and assisting in quantity surveying processes. The selected candidate will collaborate with senior engineers and project teams to estimate budgets, assess materials, and ensure compliance with contract terms while retaining project cost efficiency. Additionally, the individual will handle technical documentation and assist in project coordination.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Quantity Surveying, Tender Documentation, and Cost Analysis
- Proficiency in project management tools, estimating software, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to analyze construction plans, understand specifications, and prepare cost estimates
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with contract negotiation and compliance standards
- Understanding of procurement processes and vendor management
- A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Prior experience in construction, tendering, or a similar role is advantageous
