Role Description The Doctor Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based at Klara Skin & Hair Clinic in Chennai. This role supports dermatologists and other clinical staff in day-to-day operations, including preparing treatment rooms, assisting during consultations and procedures, and ensuring client comfort and safety throughout visits. Responsibilities include managing appointment schedules, maintaining accurate patient records, coordinating follow-up visits, and supporting front-desk activities when needed. The Doctor Assistant helps with pre- and post-procedure guidance, explains basic treatment protocols under supervision, and ensures equipment and supplies are adequately stocked and sanitized. The role involves close collaboration with the clinical and administrative teams to deliver a smooth, high-quality client experience aligned with the clinic’s standards.
Qualifications
- Clinical support skills, including assisting with dermatology or cosmetology procedures, basic knowledge of skin and hair treatments, and adherence to safety and hygiene protocols.
- Administrative and organizational abilities such as appointment scheduling, patient record management, and coordination with multiple team members.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with clients, explain instructions clearly, and collaborate effectively with medical and support staff.
- Customer service orientation, with a focus on empathy, client comfort, confidentiality, and maintaining a welcoming clinic environment.
- Attention to detail and reliability in following clinical guidelines, documenting information accurately, and maintaining treatment rooms and equipment.
- Relevant education such as a diploma or degree in nursing, medical assisting, dermatology assisting, or a related healthcare field; prior experience in a dermatology, cosmetic, or clinical setting is an advantage.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and treatment protocols and to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
- Basic computer skills for using clinic management software, handling digital records, and supporting online communication where required.
