50% remote/50% onsite in Western Canada

Divurgent is now hiring an EHR Implementation Project Manager to drive all aspects of a new EHR Implementation project in Canada. This position will require a combination of remote work and up to 50% on-site in Western Canada as required through various stages of the project. Opportunities beginning mid/late summer-early fall 2025. All candidates must be COVID-19 vaccinated and be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screen. Must have a valid driver license where regional travel is required. Bachelor’s degree in a health discipline or computer science required. Must be a Canadian Resident willing to work as an Hourly Independent Contractor.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of a new EHR project including building, managing, and monitoring detailed RACIs, project plans and GANTT charts, blockers, and risks logs
  • Document ongoing status, progress and work with technology and clinical partners to create the build book for the project
  • Collaborate with a wide range of hospital stakeholders including physicians, nurses, clinical team members and administration, technology teams, executives, vendor partners, internal and customer staff
  • Escalate issues or blockers before they become problems and diligently manage all aspects of the project deliverables to ensure we remain on time and on budget
  • Deliver projects on schedule and within budget as specified by project plans
  • Ensure the use of appropriate PMI waterfall and agile processes and standards throughout the project lifecycle
  • Define, keep current and adhere to a stakeholder list, communication, and escalation plan
  • Ensure that the project scope is clearly defined and documented at the onset of the project and if scope / deliverables / milestones and timelines shift
  • Manage scope changes and change requests, escalating any impacts to costs, schedules, and deliverables as needed
  • Anticipate and communicate the impact of project decisions and actions on customer commitments and expectations
  • Demonstrate project controls through disciplined measurement, assessment, planning, and reporting
  • Establish trusted relationships with the project team, key influencers/stakeholders, and executive leadership

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health discipline or computer science required
  • MUST have Valid/Current PMP Certification
  • Valid Prince 2 Certification highly preferred
  • Valid Prosci Certification highly preferred
  • Must have 7-10 years of EHR Implementation Experience
  • Agile experience is highly preferred
  • Comprehensive project management experience leading all aspects of an EHR Go-Live implementation project in a Canadian hospital
  • Experience implementing CPOE, ClinDoc, registration and scheduling, ADT, bed flow, orders, and order sets, OQM and ORM, OMR, plus clinical systems and medical device integrations are assets
  • Deep proficiency in healthcare technology, clinical terminology, and workflows
  • Build and maintain strong and trusting relationships with team and all stakeholders
  • Executive polish who carries a room when speaking, excellent confidence and communication, negotiation skills, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and ability to work with and influence a wide range of personality types
  • Strong organization and time management skills, highly analytical, excellent problem-solving skills, and a high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple sub-project streams and deadlines simultaneously
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project
  • Must be a Canadian Resident willing to work as an Hourly Independent Contractor
