Lead Designer

Position: Design Lead Location: Hyderabad, India Employment Type: Full-Time Overview Divami Design Labs is a leading design-led product engineering firm specializing in building impactful tech products through the seamless fusion of design, engineering, and AI capabilities. We are looking for a strategic and visionary Design Lead who will define, elevate, and drive user experience for our digital products. As a Design Lead, you will be at the center of innovation, collaborating with cross-functional teams including researchers, engineers, and product managers, to ensure design excellence, usability, and business alignment. You will work closely with our clients and their senior management to ensure that their vision and product experience is coming to life. Key Responsibilities Design Strategy & Vision Define the design strategy, aligning with business goals, market trends, and user needs. Ensure consistency, usability, and accessibility across all products. Translate complex problems into intuitive, elegant, and high-performing user experiences. Stakeholder Influence & Storytelling Champion the voice of the user by presenting design decisions backed by research, data, and psychology. Influence Product, Engineering, and Business teams, advocating for user-centered design solutions. Tell compelling design stories through prototypes, case studies, and interactive demos. Leadership & Team Growth Conduct design reviews, critiques, and feedback sessions, ensuring high-quality output. Establish best practices in design thinking, usability testing, and agile workflows. Lead, mentor, and upskill UX and UI designers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. User Research & Data-Driven Decisions Conduct usability testing, user interviews, and behavioral analysis to drive iterative improvements. Leverage heatmaps, A/B testing, and analytics to optimize experiences based on real user data. Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design principles. Agile Execution & Collaboration Own the design backlog, ensuring smooth integration into Agile sprints. Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and Researchers to ensure seamless execution. Facilitate brainstorming sessions, wireframing workshops, and design sprints. Experience & Requirements Experience: 5+ years of UX/UI design experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role. A strong portfolio showcasing data-driven problem-solving and impactful design work. Design Leadership & Strategy: Ability to define and execute design roadmaps with long-term impact. Storytelling & Stakeholder Influence: Expertise in communicating design intent with clarity and persuasion. Data-Driven UX Optimization: Ability to analyze user behavior, experiment with A/B tests, and refine experiences. Accessibility & Inclusive Design: Knowledge of WCAG, usability heuristics, and ethical design principles. UX/UI Mastery: Strong wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, and interaction design skills. Collaboration: Experience in cross-functional collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams. Understanding design-to-development workflows.
