Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Distributor Sales Specialist based in Kolkata. In this role, the specialist will be responsible for managing distributor accounts, driving sales growth, and building sustainable relationships with key stakeholders. Day-to-day activities include developing and executing sales strategies, addressing customer needs, maintaining communication with distribution channels, and ensuring alignment with company objectives to achieve revenue targets.
1. Sales Generation & Route CoverageDaily Beat Planning: Follow a structured daily route plan to visit existing retailers and wholesalers in the designated area.Order Booking: Pitch products, assess inventory, and generate orders based on store requirements and stock availability.New Customer Acquisition: Actively scout for unreached or new retail outlets to expand the product distribution network.
2. Merchandising & VisibilityBrand Visibility: Place Point of Sales Material (POSM), such as posters, standees, and banners, to attract consumers.Shelf Management: Arrange and stock products attractively on store shelves and ensure products are front-facing.Product Promotions: Execute ongoing company schemes, discounts, and promotional activities at the retail level.
3. Inventory & Supply ManagementStock Monitoring: Check stock positions (SKUs) at the distributor warehouse and retail points to prevent out-of-stock situations.Order Delivery Coordination: Collaborate with the dispatch team or delivery staff to ensure ordered goods reach retailers on time.
4. Financial DutiesPayment Collection: Collect outstanding payments, cash, and receivables from retailers on behalf of the distributor.Issue Resolution: Handle retailer grievances regarding damaged goods, billing errors, or supply delays.
5. Reporting & Market IntelligenceDaily Reporting: Maintain and submit daily sales reports, order logs, and coverage metrics to their supervisor.Competitor Tracking: Gather and share market updates regarding competitor pricing, schemes, and new product launches
