About the Role
This is a challenging and high-impact opportunity to join a hypergrowth venture in the Green Hydrogen space. The Distribution Manager will play a critical role in ensuring safe, cost-effective, and timely movement of hazardous gases across India.

📍 Location: Pune, Maharashtra
Mandatory Minimum Requirements
- 10–12 years of experience in Air Gases / Chemicals (Bulk or Packaged gases)
- Prior experience in Hydrogen gas distribution will be a strong advantage
- Proven experience in:
- Distribution cost analysis, optimisation, and savings initiatives
- Route survey, customer site survey, and road safety assessments
- Strong knowledge of hazardous goods transportation compliance
- High safety orientation with the ability to build and sustain a safety-first culture
- Willingness to relocate to Pune

Major Responsibilities
Distribution & Operations
- Review and approve daily dispatch plans from production sources/plants to customers.
- Ensure timely and safe deliveries aligned with customer schedules and business priorities.
- Coordinate closely with Sales, Customer Support, Operations, and Procurement teams.
Sourcing & Vendor Management
- Negotiate hydrogen gas sourcing activities, including:
- Rate finalization
- Schedule lifting plans
- Work with Procurement for:
- Purchase Order creation
- Advance payments and vendor coordination
- Maintain strong relationships with transporters
- Review, renew, and improve transport agreements
- Ensure strict adherence to transporter SLAs and maintenance guidelines.
Safety, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure strict compliance with SOPs, checklists, and statutory regulations
- Drive road safety initiatives, driver training, and competency assessments
- Conduct:
- Customer site surveys
- Route surveys
- Risk identification and mitigation exercises
- Lead incident reporting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for hydrogen transport-related incidents
- Promote continuous improvement in safety systems and practices.
Reporting & Systems
- Prepare and present monthly MIS reports on distribution cost, performance, and KPIs
- Track and optimise toll cost, freight charges, and transporter bills
- Ensure transporter invoices and toll payments are approved within timelines
- Introduce and manage technology tools for:
- Fleet tracking
- Safety monitoring
- Operational visibility
People & Asset Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of distribution professionals, including remote teams
- Define KRAs/KPIs for team members and conduct regular performance reviews
- Support the development of company-owned fleet assets and branding initiatives
- Build succession plans and capability development within the distribution function
Educational Qualifications
- Graduated in Logistics / Supply Chain Management, or
- Any graduate with a recognised Supply Chain certification
- Certification or experience in the Hydrogen Supply Chain will be an added advantage
