Job Description – PCS 7 DCS Engineer
Position: PCS 7 DCS Engineer
Location: Surat, Gujarat (On-site/Remote/Travel as required)
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled PCS 7 DCS Engineer to join our automation team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Siemens PCS 7, process automation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and industrial communication networks. The engineer will be responsible for designing, programming, testing, commissioning, and supporting DCS-based automation projects across various process industries around the world.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and configure Siemens PCS 7 DCS projects.
• Perform hardware configuration for Siemens S7-400 PLCs and ET200 remote I/O.
• Develop and modify CFC, SFC, SCL, and Graphics.
• Configure WinCC OS and Operator Stations.
• Configure process objects, faceplates, alarms, trends, archives, and reports.
• Perform FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test).
• Commission complete DCS systems at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot PLC, DCS, HMI, networking, and field instrumentation issues.
• Configure industrial communication protocols including PROFIBUS and PROFINET.
• Prepare project documentation, backups, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with clients, project engineers, and commissioning teams.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering or any related field.
• 4–6+ years of experience in Siemens PCS 7 DCS projects.
• Experience in process industries such as Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Food & Beverage, Water Treatment, Power, Oil & Gas, or Metals.
• Willingness to travel( 70% ) to USA, Gulf nations and Europe for the on-site programming, commissioning and site support .
Nice to Have
• Experience with Siemens TIA Portal.
• Experience with WinCC Professional or Unified.
• Knowledge of OPC UA, Modbus TCP, and industrial networking.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts for industrial control systems.
• Exposure to VFDs, MCCs, and field instrumentation.
