About the role
Supports Human Resources Manager and performs a variety of administrative duties.
What you'll do
- Perform administrative duties to include typing, filing, dictation, receiving and routing visitors, sorting, and distributing department mail, etc. and arrange details of meetings, participants, agendas, etc.
- Act as liaison between Human Resources Manager and functional area department managers.
- Establish, monitor, and maintain personnel folders to include but not limited to creating, re-establishing, auditing, and purging of files in accordance with Company and Department of Labor standards and instructions.
- Ensure benefit enrollments are completed and accurately processed within established timeframes.
- Input information into personnel system in a timely manner and ensure accuracy of all pay adjustments.
- Respond to employment verification requests as required.
- Answer employee questions related to benefits, personnel policies, and other human resources matters.
- Gather materials to copy and sort into training/workshops binders.
- Proofread written material for accuracy, check for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors.
- Produce quality work and complete assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain appropriate personal attendance, accountability, and work productivity standards.
- Plan, prioritize, and organize assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and new hire orientation activity.
- Maintain HR departmental reports such as attendance, annual evaluations, and as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or High School Equivalency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Must have 2-3 years of Human Resources administrative experience.
- Minimum keyboarding skills - 55 wpm.
- Must possess computer skills and be proficient with word processing and spreadsheet software programs.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, unless waived by management.
