Role Description The Dispensary Manager is a full-time, on-site role located in the Pune Division. This position is responsible for overseeing daily dispensary operations, including managing inventory of medicines and supplies, ensuring accurate dispensing of prescriptions, and maintaining compliance with relevant pharmacy and hospital guidelines. The role involves coordinating with doctors, nurses, and administrative staff to meet patient needs, supervising dispensary staff, and monitoring stock levels to avoid shortages or wastage. The Dispensary Manager maintains proper records and documentation, supports procurement processes, and ensures cleanliness, safety, and organization within the dispensary area. The role also includes responding to patient queries related to medications in a clear and respectful manner and supporting continuous improvement in dispensary workflows.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy or dispensary operations, including inventory management and prescription handling.
- Experience working in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare setting, with an understanding of medical terminology and patient service standards.
- Ability to supervise staff, delegate tasks, and coordinate schedules to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Attention to detail in record-keeping, documentation, and compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with medical teams and interacting with patients.
- Proficiency in using basic computer systems for inventory tracking, billing, and reporting.
- Relevant diploma or degree in pharmacy, healthcare management, or a related field; appropriate professional registration or licensing as required by local regulations is an advantage.
- Demonstrated reliability, ethical conduct, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and patient trust.
