Role Description The Dispatcher role at Roadliner Freight is a full-time, on-site position based in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar. The Dispatcher will coordinate daily freight movements, schedule and assign loads to drivers, and monitor shipment status to ensure on-time delivery. Responsibilities include maintaining clear communication with drivers, clients, and internal teams, updating transportation management systems, and resolving routing or scheduling conflicts. The role also involves tracking load progress, managing documentation, and addressing service issues promptly to uphold safety and customer service standards. The Dispatcher will collaborate closely with operations and customer support staff to ensure smooth, efficient logistics operations.
Qualifications
- Strong coordination and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple shipments, drivers, and schedules in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with drivers, clients, and internal teams, including clear phone and written communication.
- Proficiency with computer systems and logistics or dispatch software; comfort working with spreadsheets, email, and basic reporting tools.
- Problem-solving skills to handle unexpected delays, routing changes, and customer concerns while maintaining service quality.
- Attention to detail for accurate record-keeping, documentation, and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar and collaborate within a diverse, professional team.
- Prior experience in dispatching, transportation, or logistics operations is preferred but not mandatory.
- Relevant education in logistics, business, or a related field is an advantage; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
