Role Description The Dispatch Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for overseeing daily dispatch operations and ensuring timely, accurate delivery of products to customers across India. This role includes planning and scheduling dispatches, coordinating with warehouse, production, and transport teams, and monitoring vehicle routes and load optimization. The Dispatch Supervisor will track shipment status, maintain dispatch documentation, and ensure compliance with relevant transport and safety regulations. The position involves resolving dispatch-related issues, supporting customers and internal stakeholders with clear communication, and continuously improving dispatch processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The role also includes supervising dispatch staff, training team members, and enforcing standard operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong supervisory skills with experience leading dispatch or logistics teams.
- Hands-on expertise in dispatching, route planning, and shipment coordination.
- Effective communication and customer service skills for working with internal teams and external clients.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and transport compliance requirements relevant to India.
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, warehousing, or manufacturing environments.
- Ability to use dispatch or ERP software, spreadsheets, and basic reporting tools.
- Solid problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills in high-volume operations.
- Minimum of a diploma or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience as a dispatch supervisor or in a similar coordination role is an advantage.
