Job Description – Dispatch Supervisor
Job Title: Dispatch Supervisor
Department: Dispatch / Logistics
Job Location: Plant / Factory
Job Summary:
The Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for managing daily dispatch operations, ensuring timely delivery of finished goods, coordinating with transporters, maintaining dispatch records, and supervising loading activities to ensure accurate and efficient shipment of products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and supervise daily dispatch activities.
- Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of finished goods as per customer orders.
- Coordinate with transporters for vehicle arrangement and shipment scheduling.
- Verify dispatch documents such as invoices, e-way bills, delivery challans, and LR copies.
- Supervise loading and unloading activities to avoid product damage.
- Monitor vehicle movement and delivery status.
- Maintain dispatch records, stock movement reports, and MIS reports.
- Coordinate with Production, Store, and Sales departments for dispatch planning.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and safety standards.
- Manage dispatch staff and allocate daily work responsibilities.
- Resolve dispatch-related issues and customer delivery concerns.
- Support inventory control and stock verification activities.
Required Qualification:
- Graduate in Any Stream
- Diploma in Logistics / Supply Chain Management (Preferred)
Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Dispatch, Logistics, Warehouse, or Supply Chain Operations.
- Experience in FMCG, Food Industry, or Manufacturing Industry preferred.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of dispatch and logistics operations
- Understanding of E-Way Bill and dispatch documentation
- MS Excel and ERP software knowledge
- Team handling and leadership skills
- Communication and coordination skills
- Problem-solving and planning abilities
Working Conditions:
- Factory / Warehouse Environment
