Job Summary:
The Dispatch Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating daily ride operations by assigning drivers, monitoring trips, and ensuring timely, safe, and efficient transportation services. This role acts as the central communication link between drivers, customers, and management to maintain smooth 24/7 operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assign and dispatch drivers for bookings received via app, phone, and website
Monitor live trips and driver availability in real time
Handle customer inquiries, ride changes, cancellations, and complaints
Coordinate with drivers to resolve delays, breakdowns, or emergencies
Ensure all rides comply with company policies and city regulations
Maintain accurate records of trips, driver shifts, and incidents
Support drivers with navigation, app, and payment issues
Escalate operational issues to management when required
Ensure high service quality and customer satisfaction
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong communication and multitasking skills
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer skills and familiarity with dispatch software or apps
Customer service experience preferred
Ability to work shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
Knowledge of Thunder Bay routes is an asset
Preferred Experience:
Experience in taxi, ride-hailing, logistics, or transportation dispatch
Prior customer service or call center experience
