Description
Supports people with disabilities by: coordinating and supervising of services for persons with intellectual and related disabilities (consumers) in assigned Supervised Living Program II (SLP IIs).
Requirements
- assigned SLP IIs.
- Remains on-call for assigned consumers and homes 24/7, or as directed.
- Supervises all direct support professionals working in assigned SLP IIs.
- Trains all staff to treat consumers with dignity and respect while ensuring their health, safety, accountability, and quality of life.
- Ensures On-the-Job Training for all new hires is completed.
- Ensures appropriate staffing levels to maintain consumer safety, and quality of life while minimizing unnecessary overtime.
- Interview prospective direct support professional applicants and make recommendations for hire.
- Utilize agency resources efficiently and appropriately to include, but not limited to: electronic time keeping software, payroll, laptops.
- Works collaboratively with other departments, and chairs program meetings for consumers to include annual plan meetings, and/or meetings addressing any issues that may influence the consumer’s life to include, but not limited to: behavioral issues, medical concerns, training programs, financial issues, supervision, and family concerns.
- Reviews inventories for household supplies and food items as necessary.
- Safeguards and documents the receipt and disposal of consumer and agency property in accordance with agency policy.
- Monitors and works collaboratively with the finance department to appropriately account for consumer funds in accordance with applicable directives to include, but not limited to: consumer cash on hand and bank account balances.
- Monitors all plans and programs, to include, but not limited to: annual plans, training programs, behavioral status, medical status, MARs on at least a monthly basis, and/or in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Ensure that consumers are provided the opportunity to participate in agency sponsored activities as well as given the array of options regarding recreation and religious opportunities in the community.
- Ensure the residential census is forwarded to the Residential office each Monday, or as necessary.
- Maintains a clean and safe working and living environment in assigned SLP IIs.
- Takes staffing weekend/holiday on-call as assigned.
- Complete performance evaluations for direct support staff in a timely manner, and make recommendations for disciplinary action, if necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Ability to speak and write the English language in a legible, understandable manner; ability to make independent decision; ability to deal tactfully with others.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Special Education, Human Services or related field
Experience: 2 years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a related field
