Job Description: BSS Presales Solutions Consultant
Experience: 8–12 Years
Location: India (Travel as required) – Pune, Bangalore, Gurgaon
Work from Office : Mandatory 3 days per week
About The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and talented BSS Presales Solutions Consultant to join our growing presales practice. You will be the solution architect behind complex BSS transformation bids — translating operator requirements into compelling, defensible solution narratives while collaborating closely with sales, delivery, and product teams to drive business growth. This role sits at the intersection of technology depth, commercial acumen, and the ability to influence Architect Leads and CXO-level decisions through clarity of thought and communication.
What You Will Do
Solutioning & RFP Response
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand client requirements and develop tailored solutions that address their business and technical needs
- Own end-to-end solution architecture for large-scale BSS transformation bids covering CRM, Order Management, Charging/EPC, CPQ, CLM, LRM, and eCommerce
- Assist in the preparation of proposals, bids, and RFP responses — ensuring alignment with client requirements, TMF frameworks, and Comviva's business objectives
- Design multi-LOB, multi-brand transformation approaches with supporting volumetrics, phasing options, and structured trade-off analysis — spanning Consumer, Enterprise, and B2B2X segments
Technical Depth
- Act as a subject matter expert on Comviva's BSS and Commerce solutions — providing technical guidance to clients and internal stakeholders with authority and credibility
- Architect solutions across BSS domains with TMF ODA/SID compliance, with working knowledge of TAM, eTOM, and OpenAPI standards
- Define integration architectures and articulate clear supplier boundary positions
- Develop migration strategies for large subscriber bases across complex legacy landscapes, including co-existence architecture and transition state modelling
- Bring working knowledge of Enterprise connectivity products — SD-WAN, MPLS, and ICT managed services — to credibly support B2B and Enterprise LOB solutioning within BSS transformation bids
Presales Delivery
- Build highly contextual compliance responses, high quality solution proposal and bid response documents
- Prepare and Conduct contextual and compelling product demonstrations and presentations that bring Comviva's BSS and Commerce capabilities to life for prospective clients
- Lead solution proposal defense workshops with the customer evaluation committees and CXO stakeholders — structuring narrative, anticipating challenges, and holding the room
- Build program effort models and program delivery timelines aligned to contract milestones
Market & Client Engagement
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings to maintain a sharp understanding of the telecom BSS market landscape — including the evolving Enterprise and B2B segment dynamics around SD-WAN, cloud-managed networks, and ICT bundling
- Engage with clients to gather feedback and insights, identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute to Comviva's product development initiatives
- Develop win themes and position platform capabilities compellingly against competitive alternatives across APAC, MEA, Europe, and North America markets
What You Bring
Domain & Technical
- 8–12 years across BSS solutioning, presales, solution consulting, or enterprise architecture within a telecom product or services company
- Good understanding of the BSS domain — functional depth as well as fluency in TMF frameworks: TAM, eTOM, OpenAPI, and ODA
- Hands-on experience with at least one large-scale BSS transformation program — multi-LOB, cloud-native, and TMF-aligned preferred
- Deep familiarity with BSS modules: CRM, Order Management, Charging/EPC, CPQ, Commerce, and CLM
- Working knowledge of Enterprise telecom products — SD-WAN, MPLS, and ICT managed services — and how these are positioned, bundled, and managed within a BSS context for B2B and Enterprise customers
- Basic but confident understanding of Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices — containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native deployment models — enough to engage credibly with technical evaluation teams and frame solution delivery positioning
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills — able to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into clear business solutions
Communication & Collaboration
- Exceptional written English — able to construct solution narratives, executive summaries, and scope position papers that are precise, persuasive, and free of ambiguity
- Strong verbal presence — comfortable leading workshops, managing pushback in live defense sessions, and adapting register from a technical deep-dive to a boardroom briefing
- Active listener who builds credibility with operator teams by understanding their concerns before positioning solutions
- Collaborative by instinct — works fluidly across solution, delivery, commercial, and legal teams without creating silos, and brings others along rather than working in isolation
- Carries a smile and is ego-aware, in this fast evolving and competitive space.
- Culturally aware and able to operate effectively across diverse geographies and stakeholder personalities
- Flexibility to engage with clients across Europe and US time zones as required

- Stays current with emerging AI capabilities relevant to the presales and BSS domain, and proactively integrates useful tools into personal workflow — contributing to a culture of responsible AI adoption within the Comviva presales practice
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Telecom, Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience presenting to and managing procurement-driven evaluation processes with structured scoring
- Exposure to Enterprise B2B deals
