Role Description
- Practice Leadership & Architecture: Lead the end-to-end strategy, and build our security practice into a team of 50.
- Lead a team that deploys and managers Wiz for our clients across Google and other clouds.
- SecOps Automation & SOAR: Architect resilient SOAR playbooks API integrations to automate incident ingestion, enrichment, and response workflows.
- Detection Engineering & SIEM: Lead the design and tuning of enterprise SIEM platforms (Google SecOps), writing custom detection rules (YARA-L) mapped to the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
- GCP Security & IaC Governance: Architect security controls, IAM, data protection, and network security policies within GCP (Security Command Center, Identity-Aware Proxy, Cloud KMS, VPC Service Controls) using Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Agentic SoC: We are building out security managed services around the Google ecosystem, and need somebody who can talk the talk, and walk the walk when it comes to managing a number of teams across professional and managed services.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
- GCP Security Architecture Expertise: 8+ years of hands-on security engineering and cloud architecture experience designing and managing enterprise Google Cloud security solutions.
- Core Technical Stack: Deep proficiency with GCP native security (Security Command Center, IAM, VPC Service Controls), Chronicle SIEM/SOAR (or Splunk/Sentinel/Cortex XSOAR), Python, REST APIs, and detection rule crafting (YARA-L/KQL/SPL).
- Certification Requirement: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer certification.
- Leadership: Track record in leading technical security practice teams, lowering MTTD/MTTR through automation, and implementing frameworks like NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and CIS benchmarks.
Bonus Points:
- CISSP, CISM, or GIAC (GCIH, GCFA, GCDA) certifications.
- Hands-on experience with GenAI/LLM security controls, prompt-injection safeguards, and AI-assisted SOC workflows.
- Experience migrating legacy SIEM systems or on-prem SOC operations to Google Chronicle Security Operations.
