About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director – Sales & Marketing to lead the revenue growth and market expansion of our newspaper and media business. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in print media, advertising sales, circulation growth, brand strategy, and digital media monetization.
This leadership role requires strategic thinking, strong industry relationships, and the ability to drive high-performing sales and marketing teams in a competitive media landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to increase advertising revenue and readership.
- Lead advertisement sales across print, digital, supplements, and special editions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, agencies, government bodies, and key advertisers.
- Drive circulation growth initiatives and audience engagement campaigns.
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams.
- Oversee branding, promotional campaigns, events, and market positioning.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to guide business strategy.
- Manage sales budgets, forecasting, and revenue targets.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate regional sales and marketing teams for peak performance.
- Collaborate with editorial, production, and digital teams to align commercial objectives.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving aggressive revenue targets and business growth.
- Strong network within advertising agencies and corporate sectors.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of digital media sales and integrated marketing solutions will be an added advantage.
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
