Hard Requirements (Non‑Negotiable)
- Financial services experience is mandatory
- Asset management, banking, hedge funds, or Tier‑1 financial institutions
- Understands market data, financial assets, and how institutions consume data
- Proven background in data product management
- Data as a product / data as a service
- Not just dashboards or visualization ownership
- Strong grasp of:
- Financial personas
- How different institutions use data
- Translating business goals into data‑driven solutions
- Senior‑level product leader (Senior / Principal / Director scope)
Role Structure
- Initially an individual contributor, working closely with architects and engineering
- Expected to build and define the foundation, then scale
- Likely to manage product team members over time
- Reports directly to Suzanne
Key Alignment & Decisions
- All candidates reviewed to date do not meet the bar
- Missing financial services experience
- Missing true data productization / monetization background
- Role requires a builder mindset, not a reporting or BI‑only background
- Finance domain knowledge is essential — this is not a learn‑on‑the‑job requirement
- Criteria will be strictly enforced moving forward
