Key Responsibilities
I. Factory Operations & Day-to-Day Management
- Cross-Department Coordination: Coordinate the day-to-day operations of internal departments (Production, Supply Chain, HR, and Sales) to effectively execute goals aligned with headquarters' objectives.
- Communication & Alignment: Act as a bridge between headquarters, the local India team, partners, and clients to foster cultural alignment and minimize operational friction.
II. Business Development & Account Management
- New Client Development: Cultivate relationships with local Indian electronics brands, distributors, and key accounts to secure new orders and maximize factory capacity utilization.
- Project Execution: Lead commercial negotiations, contract signing, and product specification alignment; track project milestones to ensure a smooth transition to mass production.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain strong connections with key local customers, keeping a pulse on shifting client needs and local market dynamics.
III. Policy Compliance & Growth Planning
- Compliance & Risk Management: Monitor local Indian investment, taxation, and labor regulations to ensure compliant factory operations and mitigate business risks.
- Expansion Project Execution: Assist in planning and executing factory capacity expansions and various local growth projects.
- Local Management Optimization: Provide input and assist in adjusting the factory's local management and operating models.
Job Requirements
Professional Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in operations management or Business Development (BD).
- 10+ years of proven track record and expertise in the electronics industry.
- Market Track Record: Experience interfacing with local Indian electronics brands, with a successful track record in OEM/ODM or contract manufacturing business development, is highly preferred.
- Core Competencies: Outstanding business negotiation and client development skills, with a proven ability to independently drive and onboard new business in India.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent, business-level English communication skills (written and spoken).
- Adaptability: Exceptional cross-cultural communication and coordination skills. High adaptability to India's local work environment and business culture. Highly resilient under pressure, with the flexibility to travel frequently or accept an expatriate assignment.
