About Contify
Contify is a global leader in AI-driven Market and Competitive Intelligence (MCI). Our platform is the "insights engine" for the world’s most sophisticated organizations. By tracking over one million sources, Contify delivers the precise updates that executives need to make informed decisions.
We work with some of the world’s most sophisticated enterprises, including McKinsey, Deloitte, Airbus, Honeywell, Wipro, and MetLife. These teams rely on Contify to track competitors, customers, and market shifts in almost real time.
Recognized as a category innovator, Contify is the recipient of Frost & Sullivan’s Product Innovation Award for Market and Competitive Intelligence Platforms. With a rapidly scaling team of over 350 professionals, we combine the agility of a high-growth technology firm with the stability of a mature professional organization.
As we continue to scale, we remain focused on our mission: Enabling organizations to build intelligence as the core function that aids their strategic decision-making.
About The Role
You'll own the marketing function end-to-end, including demand generation, content, brand, SEO, performance, social, and the full customer lifecycle for a B2B SaaS platform sold to senior decision-makers at mid- to large-sized enterprises. You'll partner closely with the CEO, client-facing teams, and product teams, and the work will be measured by pipeline, brand authority, and the efficiency of the engine you build.
In the first three months, you'll spend most of your time with customers, prospects, and the sales and solutions teams, understanding the buyer journey, what has actually worked for Contify, where the funnel is leaking, and what the market thinks of us today.
By month three, you'll have aligned Contify’s marketing strategy with clear channel-level priorities and started measurable KPIs on the highest-leverage channels.
Within a year, you'll have built a marketing engine that produces a predictable pipeline, hired the right people into the right roles, and established a documenting-and-data culture inside the marketing org.
Who We're Looking For
- End-to-end marketing breadth. You've owned content, brand, SEO, performance, and social at some point in your career, not necessarily a lot of depth at all of them, but enough to hire, manage, and pressure-test specialists in each.
- Go-getter with a hacker mentality. Entrepreneurial, result-oriented, and willing to do the work yourself when it matters. You find ways through constraints rather than waiting for them to lift.
- Execution oriented. You're rigorous about the things that matter, including campaign mechanics, landing page conversion, email cadence, analytics setup, etc. You have an eye for detail to identify any gaps, if any.
- Communicate with clarity. You can take a complex positioning, a confusing funnel, or a noisy market and explain it to the CEO, a salesperson, and a designer in a way each of them can understand and act on. You write campaign briefs, landing pages, and exec memos that are short, specific, and unambiguous.
- Applied thinking. You think deeply about the buyer persona and user problems in planning marketing strategies and campaigns. You inhabit the buyer's perspective, work back from the end objective they're actually trying to reach, and ask how Contify helps them get there.
- Ability to learn. You pick up new skills, dig into unfamiliar domains, become fluent in new tools, and act on feedback.
- People builder. You hire well, give clear, timely feedback, and develop people. Your former reports tend to stay in touch.
- Comfort with senior leaders. You've worked closely with founders or CXOs in a smaller, growing organization, partnered with them on positioning and strategy, not just received and delivered briefs.
Backgrounds we particularly welcome
Two profiles tend to do unusually well in this role.
- Marketing leaders from enterprise software in the 100–500 person range, ideally as the first or second senior marketing hire, people who built the function rather than inherited it, and who have done the work themselves before they hired specialists.
- Part of the core founding team of an enterprise software company, where you owned marketing and GTM. The breadth of decisions you made under constraint, and the calibration you've developed about your own judgment, transfers directly to this role.
We do not have a hard requirement on years of experience. We've seen people excel in this role with seven years of the right mindset, and people fail with fifteen of the wrong kind.
What Probably Won't Work
It's worth being honest about the profiles we have seen struggle here, so candidates can self-select.
- Marketers who came up entirely inside large enterprise marketing organizations. If your career has been at companies where headcount, budget, and agency support were abundant and the playbook was mature, you'll find Contify resource-constrained, which may not be the right environment for you to succeed.
- Anyone who needs a large budget to deliver results. Our marketing has consistently punched above its weight on a small budget. The next leader has to find that energizing rather than frustrate, and bring more creativity than spending power.
- Anyone whose primary asset is a playbook learned in previous organizations and applied repeatedly since. B2B marketing has changed too much in the last five years for that to work. We want someone who is still actively learning, who throws out their last approach when the evidence says so, and who is curious about the parts of the field they haven't yet mastered.
How We Work
We believe action produces information, so we prefer releasing and learning to debating about things in the conference room. Feedback is direct and given quickly; if something isn't working, you'll know within days, not quarters. The CEO is closely engaged with marketing. The hardest parts of this role are: making bold channel choices with imperfect data, holding the line on brand quality when the temptation is to ship quantity, and saying no to internal stakeholders without losing the relationship.
